Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Facilitate the hiring of staff from the initial stage of job posting to the final stage of onboarding. Follow appropriate recruiting strategies that maximize the effectiveness of placements of non-exempt and exempt positions in a timely, cost effective manner, which effectively markets the EdFed brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND POSITION DUTIES

 

  1. Review and process applications of internal candidates and potential external candidates for assigned job requisitions.
  2. Complete candidate screening, pre-employment testing, interviews, and background checks.
  3. Maintain active candidate pool to assist with turnover of entry level positions.
  4. Utilize the recruiting system to track requisitions and applicants. Updates candidate status on recruiting system.
  5. Ensure positions posted to the recruiting system are available for internal candidates to apply for transfer/promotion opportunities.
  6. Obtain offer approvals and communicate offer/rejection to candidates and follows up on offers to achieve acceptance. Notifies the department of newly hired employee’s start date.
  7. Facilitate on-boarding process and new hire orientation to quickly assimilate new hires into the company.
  8. Complete new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with procedures and legal regulations.
  9. Attend local college/university job fairs to increase talent pool and career awareness.
  10. Support Summer Internship and School Branch programs that provide meaningful business experiences to the co-ops and interns and result in potential hires.
  11. Promote employee referral programs to stimulate applicant flow.
  12. Assist HR Team with projects as assigned. Provide back-up to Payroll as necessary.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFICATIONS

 

1. 2-5 years of related experience.

2. Ability to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.

3. Strong MS Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

4. Demonstrated competencies with recruiting technologies and products.
