Job Description

Our South Shore agency client is looking for a Media Buyer with 5+ years' experience for an immediate hire that is primarily remote but meets in the office occassionally so looking for locally based candidates. For this role, you'll need experience with both both broadcast and digital buying. The position focuses on 80% broadcast and 20% digital and the client is looking for experience with Strata or a similar software.

Position Overview:

  • Develop and implement stratetgic media buying strategies across broadcast and digital that will align with client goals.
  • Negotiate and secure placements across television, radio, digital platforms (CTV, OTT, programmatic, streaming audio), and sponsorships
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaigns to ensure efficiency, performance, and maximum ROI.
  • Remain current with media trends, audience behaviors, and emerging advertising technologies to inform buying strategies.
  • Oversee daily execution of media buys and stay within budgets while acheiving campaign goals.
  • Manage media costs, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accountability for results.
  • Develop and present reports with thoughts and suggestions
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to align media strategies with creative and brand messaging.
  • Support team and client meetings, contributing strategic insights and execution plans.
  • Proactively identify challenges, present solutions, and maintain momentum on projects and deliverables under tight deadlines.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in media buying, with a strong foundation in both broadcast and digital media.
  • Proven negotiation skills and a track record of securing impactful media placements.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in campaign tracking, optimization, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—capable of articulating insights, strategy, and recommendations clearly.
  • Proficiency in Excel for media planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Experience working within media buying platforms (experience with the Strata platform is ideal)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous media agency experience is a plus
