Thanks for visiting our part time teacher post! This position is for an in-person teacher at our center, located in Hamilton, NJ (Quakerbridge Road, Mercer County). Having the availability to start at 4pm a few days/week is very helpful!

At current, we have an in-person, year-round opening for:

- Upper Level Reading/Writing teacher to coach students in need of academic support (We will also train for SAT/ACT prep instruction)

- Math: We are also seeking upper level math teachers for Algebra 1, 2, Geometry and Precalculus!

A glimpse of your typical day at Sylvan:

• Working with your students; generally, 1:1 or 3:1 ratio (SAT/ACT is 1:1)
• Greets students and initiates instruction to personally engage with each
• Evaluates and records progress of each student
• Doing what you love: teaching!
• All curriculum is provided for you- no lessons to prepare. 

The center is open during the school year:

Monday-Thursday: 4-8pm

Saturday’s 9am-1pm

Sunday's 11-2pm

Please apply if you:

• Possess an undergraduate degree
• Possess a teaching certification
• Are punctual, reliable and professional

Initial and ongoing support is provided to all of our teachers. While this position is part time hours, we would like for you to be with us for years to come.

What positions we are currently hiring:

• Elementary, Middle School or High School Level English/ Language Arts (ELA)
• High School Level Math (Algebra 1, 2, Geometry & Precalculus)

Note: This position is in-person at our center in Hamilton, NJ. (not a remote position). Also, please consider your commuting time if you live more than 15 minutes away from the center before applying.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Teaching certification
• Reliable
