Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor to join our Writing Center team. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one writing assistance to students of all levels and backgrounds. You will work closely with students to help them develop their writing skills and improve their overall academic performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one writing assistance to students of all levels and backgrounds
- Help students develop their writing skills and improve their overall academic performance
- Assist students with brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising their written assignments
- Provide feedback on grammar, punctuation, syntax, and style
- Help students develop effective research strategies and properly cite sources
Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, or a related field
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Experience working with students in an academic setting
- Knowledge of writing best practices and research strategies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
