Haugland Group, a privately-owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our team. This roll will require the individual to handle survey operations in Florida and U.S. Virgin Island territories.

This position requires trips to and long stays (when needed) to the USVI.

Key Functions:

• Review proposed construction plans and develop RFI documents
• Calculate plan features from paper to field and layout those features for the work force
• Produce 2D / 3D Models for coordination w/ Civil, Mechanical systems, surveying data, and reality capture Scans
• Take An “as built” and connect appropriate features in Civil3D

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in survey operations
• Experience using Topcon GPS data collection, Trimble GPS and Robotic data collection Scanner (lidar) -Topcon Grade control systems (milling and dozing mainly) Drone usage (flight and data upload to our platform)
• Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Surveying Engineering Technology, or a related field like Civil Engineering
• Ability to communicate and work well with others
• Attention to detail a must
