About the Role
The Company is seeking a Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its Illinois Region. The successful candidate will be a mission-focused, empathetic, and experienced leader, responsible for leading a team of paid and volunteer staff to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies. This role involves strategic and operational management, with a strong emphasis on disaster response, services to the armed forces, and international services. The CEO will also be the primary fundraiser for the region, tasked with achieving and growing financial resources to support the organization's goals. Key responsibilities include supporting the mission and vision of the company, ensuring sound financial management, and fostering a culture of high performance and growth. Candidates for the Regional CEO position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 10 years' related experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in raising significant financial resources and at least 7 years of management experience. The role requires a strategic and inspirational leader with a passion for the company's mission, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. The CEO will be expected to be a visible and trusted community leader, with a deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to fostering a culture that values and respects all individuals.
