Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior internships or professional experience demonstrating the ability to architect and implement complex software systems to solve real-world challenges
• Strong software design and development skills in Java or Python
• Expertise in object-oriented design and functional programming
• Solid understanding of systems programming or experience in distributed systems design/implementation
• Experience with workflow systems and highly scalable environments such as Kubernetes is a plus
• Basic knowledge of machine learning methods or statistical modeling techniques; advanced knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud environments and Linux
• Strong problem-solving skills, a drive to succeed, and a continuous learning mindset
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other software engineers in a highly technical environment
• Knowledge of financial markets or quantitative trading is beneficial but not required – the firm is willing to invest in the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Develop a next-generation research platform used by quantitative researchers for alpha and strategy research
• Build scalable, distributed, and high-performance systems for production trading and portfolio management, including automated deployment, monitoring, and real-time production pipelines
• Work closely with exceptional software engineers and quantitative researchers to enhance trading capabilities
• Contribute across the entire systematic trading pipeline, gaining valuable insights from industry experts while supporting team success
• Play a key role in the development and optimization of the firm’s trading strategy and research platform
