Job Details Responsibilities:
As an Entry Level Buyer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Managing and coordinating the purchasing process of raw materials, components, and other necessary items from pre-established suppliers.
2. Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed and maintaining relationships with key suppliers.
3. Forecasting upcoming demand for products and materials and ensuring that inventory is maintained at appropriate levels.
4. Working closely with the production and planning teams to ensure that all materials are available when needed.
5. Participating in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
6. Keeping detailed records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
7. Developing and implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve quality.
8. Resolving issues related to delivered goods, including discrepancies in quantity and quality.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Entry Level Buyer position, you must have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A proactive problem solver who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
