Job Details Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive land surveys, including ALTA Surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control surveys, and plat maps.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Collaborate with engineering and architectural personnel on construction projects to verify design details and ensure adherence to layout specifications.
- Consult with clients to provide expert advice on land use, development, and boundary adjustments.
- Conduct research in surveying and mapping methods, using knowledge of techniques of photogrammetric map compilation and electronic data processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is a plus
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on ALTA Surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, control surveys, and plat maps.
- Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS and GIS systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret land records, plats, maps, and legal documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with clients and other professionals.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision.
- The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
