Clarendale of Chandle r is recruiting for a hospitality focused Housekeeping Manager to join our team! is responsible for the care and cleaning of all aspects of the physical plant: controlling the quality and timeliness of all work originating in the Environmental Services department; hiring, training and supervising all housekeeping and laundry personnel; procuring of supplies, chemicals and equipment; assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

Essential Job Duties:

1. Performs general housekeeping duties in apartments, such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms/kitchens and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces.
2. Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas.
3. Supervises the performance of all housekeeping/laundry personnel through personal inspections and other quality control techniques.
4. Selects, trains, evaluates and disciplines all housekeeping/laundry personnel.
5. Keeps required records, reports, studies.
6. Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies, and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies.
7. Inspects all housekeeping and laundry equipment regularly for proper functioning and safety.
8. Coordinates the scheduling of all apartment cleaning and special cleaning projects.
9. Coordinates apartment refurbishing with the Plant Services Director.
10. Coordinates department functions with those of other departments.

Other Duties:

1. Participates in the research and preparation of the department budget.
2. Operates the Department within budget guidelines.
3. Tests and evaluates new products to improve efficiency.
4. Complies with all federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations governing the Community.
5. Delegates authority to supervisory staff for task details to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and services.
6. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
7. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
2. A minimum of three years experience of prior housekeeping supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel or health care setting preferred.
3. Must have the ability to think analytically and make independent and accurate decisions in solving problems and improving services.
4. Knowledge of housekeeping and infection control procedures required.
5. Must possess good oral and written communication skills
