The software developer will work as part of a DevOps team to test, maintain and operate the systems involved in the project. As part of learning the testing function, she/he will work to automate the testing function. The system automates the process of capturing AT and T mobility services design, and network design to aid in the deployment of the network functions that are part of each service definition. The system has several layers as described below. testing and test automation encompasses all the layers. The day-to-day duties would include: 1. Prepare test data with a view to test automation 2. Write and execute test cases; convert select test cases for test automation. 3. Conduct test case reviews and plan test automation strategy for platform releases. 4. Requirements and design analysis 5. Create / update tickets in Jira. 6. Participate in deployment decisions. 7. Support user community of application 8. Participate in design discussions/scrum meetings. 9. Test all layers of the software system (front-end Web UIs, APIs, back-end, DB, etc.) Required Skills : Key skills needed (in priority order): 1. 5 Years experience in the above activities, with at least 3 years on test automation specifically automation of testing front-end frameworks (React, JavaScript/jQuery) and backend (Python, shell, relation databases, etc.) 2. A thorough understanding of various data formats (JSON, YAML, ) is critical 3. A thorough understanding of feature, integration, system, capacity/load, regression and chaos testing is essential 4. Database and Linux/UNIX experience is essential 5. Thorough understanding of all testing principles is essential 6. Experience with test automation is highly desirable 7. A basic understanding of networking and network routing concepts is essential.
