Job Description Schnucks' Intern Program is an immersive corporate internship based at our St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. Interns gain real-world experience in their designated department, and collaborate on a cross-functional, inter-disciplinary group project during the summer. This is a paid internship that require full-time attendance 6/2/25 through 8/8/25, and part-time availability during the school year with the potential of being hired immediately upon graduation. The 2025 Data Science Internship offers a unique experience by exposing interns to virtually every area within our Data Science department (advanced models predicting and prescribing key business features, with focus on statistics and Machine Learning). Our department has a peer/team oriented environment with several dedicated mentors. This structure will afford you the opportunity to work with other students from several other business programs in the Saint Louis area. This exposure provides interns with invaluable practical work experience and will fast-track your professional business career! Candidates must reside in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, or Wisconsin to be considered for this internship. Essential Responsibilities: Develop innovative analytical models to solve one of the exciting and highly valuable problems by working directly with a group of data scientist. Assist with model development and deployment, conducts predictive data mining to identify insights that drive action. Learn presentation skills by giving regular presentations to data and analytics teams and the leadership. Assist in different work streams including automation, training, and change management. Develop skills in state-of-the-art data mining tools like Alteryx, visualization tools such as Tableau and DOMO, and advanced analytics in Google BigQuery. Exposure to Nielsen and other industry relevant tools. Assist with special projects as needed. Learn valuable workplace skills in a real-world environment. Minimum Requirements: Required Education: Current and Fall 2025 enrollment in a Master's Degree or PhD's Degree program, preferably in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics, and completed at least 30 credit hours. Available to work part-time during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years and full-time 6/2/25 - 8/8/25. Interest in Schnucks advancement post-graduation Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and practical experience with data science methodology, such as optimization, machine learning or statistical modeling Query language focus on SQL. Programming language knowledge with focus on R or Python. Proficient in Google and Microsoft applications. Motivated to learn and detail oriented. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Additional Requirements - Internal candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks. Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
