We are the premier financial advisory firm dedicated to helping business owners in transition though our 3 advisory services: Business Valuations, ESOP transactions, and M&A transactions. With a national footprint, we are quickly growing and are looking for a Business Valuation Analyst to join our team and support our clients with their complex business valuation needs.

Our Business Valuation Analyst position is responsible for executing and delivering challenging valuation engagements by participating in projects from initial proposal preparation through project completion.

The primary job responsibilities include:

• Perform industry research including comparable publicly-traded companies and similar transactions, analyze competitive industry dynamics and assess financial conditions of peer companies.
• Perform financial statement and benchmarking analysis and prepare and interpret the financial valuation models.
• Create valuation reports for clients (financial institutions, attorneys, private business, accounting firms)
• Participate in business development activities as interested (conferences, networking events)
• Work on projects with our M&A advisory as needed

Position Requirements

• Bachelor degree in finance/accounting/economics, MBA or other advanced degree and/or credential (CPA, ABV, CVA, ASA, CFA, etc.) preferred
• 3+ years of valuation and/or corporate finance experience with valuation engagements, ESOPs, or other financial advisory projects.
• Knowledge of ESOP, estate/gift tax, M&A, and/or financial reporting (ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 718) valuations
• Research skills necessary to perform proper industry/economic research
• Technical proficiency and competency in financial modeling, valuation theory and transaction structuring;
• Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Proactively prospecting for potential new clients by independently developing a network of referral sources.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple assignments, tight deadlines and multiple team members
• Highly effective communication skills, detailed oriented, and problem-solving capabilities
• Team player, strong work ethic and personal integrity
• Ability to travel as necessary
