Job Summary:
Join our Second Line AML team as a US Sanctions Compliance and Watch List Management Analyst to play a crucial role in safeguarding our bank against AML risks within the US and Canadian regulatory frameworks. In this position, you will be directly responsible for reviewing client names and transactions for compliance with sanctions regulations, conducting investigations, and ensuring mitigation of AML risks across all our US Lines of Business. Failure to comply can result in severe penalties and damage to our bank's reputation and value; hence, your role is critical in maintaining our compliance and standing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make informed decisions on sanctions-related referrals, including wire payments, international ACH transactions, and client onboarding.
• Conduct thorough OFAC risk investigations, ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Research and recommend compliance solutions, collaborating with the Sanctions team to mitigate identified risks effectively.
• Develop and contribute to training materials based on identified knowledge gaps.
• Assist in due diligence efforts to clear potential OFAC matches, ensuring ongoing compliance.

Must-Have Skills:

• 2-3 years of banking experience in AML investigation.
• Strong understanding of OFAC, BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in French

Industry Experience:

• Banking and Finance industry experience with a strong emphasis on AML and Sanctions Compliance.
